ABOUT
Hi, I’m Josh Coburn from a small town in greater Manchester. I apprenticed at Kameeleontattoo studio in Middleton in 2017 and have been full time tattooing for over 6 years. During that time I lived in Australia and New Zealand, where I tattooed for 4 years combined and had many interactions with people and places that still inspire me to this day. I’m now based back in my home city, Manchester for the foreseeable future at the lovely Swan St Tattoo.
I have had an appreciation for art since a young age and studied fine art, graphics and illustration both at college and uni, but my passion has always lied in traditional classic style tattooing which led me down that path post degree, and now base the majority of my work from. I also admire Japanese and modern fineline/blackwork and dabble in this style of tattooing from time to time.
GUEST SPOTS AND CONVENTIONS
One of my favourite things about tattooing is the ability to travel and do guest spots, meeting and tattooing new people and learning from diverse approaches to tattooing. I try to maintain doing guest spots and conventions mainly in the UK and Europe, with London being one of the more regular guest spots, and Brighton Tattoo Convention being a regular convention. Keep your eyes peeled for guest spots and convention updates.
HOW TO BOOK
Please use the online booking form and fill out to the best of your knowledge, what you would like tattooed (any reference pictures you may have found would help) what placement on the body and roughly what size. Also if you could mention when you are hoping to get tattooed or just some dates that work for you that would also save some back and forth and help me get you booked in smoothly. I Have a flash book full of pre drawn designs ready to go or I can create custom designs at your request. I also usually have time for small walk-in style stuff between bookings so get in touch whatever your desires.
